Design Card Christmas 2005
Design Card Christmas 2005
We are in the process of updating our Design Cards so the ones offered are our old designs. They are still lovely and can be used just fine however we would like to simplify the instructions and make it a little more user friendly.
This design card was released for our 2005 Christmas Edition Kits and comes with two variations in the instructions. Both use the standard smocking design included in the packaging but use Christmas Themed thread choices and included additional embroidery and embellishments to make a truly spectacular Christmas Dress.
Bows and Bells (shown on the Red Dress) has sweet little bows embroidered along the hem with tiny jingle bells attached so that every step brings Christmas Cheer. Oh Christmas Tree (shown on the White Dress) paints a simple holiday scene along the hem including a sweet little teddy waiting for a new home.
While the kits are not on offer fully yet we are able to supply threads and the trinkets to make your holiday shopping easier this year. This is for the instructions and embroidery templates and is intended to be used with the design card that comes with our 2smock Classic Girls Dresses.

- Good To Know
Important Notice - Garment Care & Washing
Please DO NOT WASH our 2smock garments until all smocking has been completed.
The holding threads for the pleating are not designed to withstand washing, they are there to hold the shape of the garment and guide your smocking. If you do wash these items prior to smocking they will end up misshapen and unusable.
Care AFTER Smocking
For best results cold hand washing and line drying is recommended to preserve the longevity of the fabric and embroidery thread. Items intended for generational use such as Christening Robes or ‘Sunday Best’ Dresses would be best treated in such a manner. Treat the item as you would an heirloom – as that is what it will become.
However I for one would rather my little miss enjoys playing and have found that many of our garments are able to be thrown into a normal washing load and tumble dried. In fact the smocking appears to plump up over time and lock into place nicely. To help identify which items we feel are great for everyday use look for the Hard Wearing Tag in the items description.
